(she/her)
Licensed Certified Nutritionist
With two decades of commitment to health equity, accessible nutrition, and herbal medicine, Jamie aims to provide nutritional care that supports the body’s healing process from a trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and Health at Every Size perspective. Her primary area of focus is on the relationship between nutrition and mental health, with a special interest in the prevention and improvement of symptoms related to anxiety, depression, and ADHD.
Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Nutrition degree from the National University of Natural Medicine, a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from The Evergreen State College, and completion of more than 1000 hours of formal herbal medicine training across the state of Oregon. Jamie is currently licensed as a Certified Nutritionist, and in addition to seeing clients one-on-one, she also provides guest lectures and other ongoing support within the Nutrition Department at NUNM.
Before joining the Be Well team, Jamie founded two successful health collectives aimed at addressing health disparities in marginalized communities, one a free herbal medicine clinic in Oakland, California, and the other a rural harm reduction collective in Williams, Oregon. She currently specializes in the use of functional nutrition and evidence-based herbal therapeutics for a variety of mental and physical health concerns. She loves listening to people’s stories and helping others build confidence in themselves. When she’s not talking about food, you can find her petting her cat, smelling flowers, going for walks, or smiling about something. She looks forward to working with you!
Jamie accepts the Oregon Health Plan and is accepting new patients for one-on-one telehealth consults with no out-of-pocket cost to the patient.
