Reach new levels of healing

“Dessa's unique mastery of her craft has helped me reach new levels in my healing process from a brain injury, neck and back pain, headaches, dizziness and depression. When I first started seeing her, I was despondent and uncertain if my body could stop having pain flare ups, but her gentle blend of expertise has brought me a long way in being hopeful and positive towards getting better. I'm having less flare ups and am starting to stabilize. I tried seeing less talented acupuncturists who were closer to my house, but I was too traumatized to handle conventional acupuncture needles. Dessa specializes in a needle-less kind of acupuncture that has given me great results, and she also has a strong understanding of supportive herbs and Bach flower remedies. She has a strong hero-like presence but is in no way intimidating. She once commanded, "You're not broken!" and it felt like every cell listened, believed, and behaved differently from that point on. I'm deeply grateful for everything she has done for me.”

Very calming, gentle & supportive

“Feeling much stronger today after my appointment w/Page. Post-covid fatigue was dragging me down and she helped my energy and breathing strength a lot. Looking forward to getting the herbs she recommended; they sound like just the ticket to get me “back in the saddle“ again. Page is very calming and gentle and supportive, and gave me some lovely relaxing gentle acupressure as well during my treatment. Looking forward to my next visit."

This clinic is clearly, and refreshingly, motivated by advocacy for patients' wellness. I'm currently doing Hyperbolic Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), but planning to also receive acupuncture here. The availability, patience and communication from Dessa and other staff members feels distinctly personalized. Therapies I've explored are incredibly affordable, without the experience of getting corners cut in the quality of my care. Highly recommend!

Today I have completed my 10th hyperbaric oxygen treatment. I'm a believer! This has helped me so much. I came with post covid symptoms. This treatment has helped me taste and smell better, sleep better, wake up with less aches and pains and best of all, having a more clear head. I really appreciate Dessa and her staff. I was afraid of the small space but she really helps you feel comfortable and accommodates any fears or concerns. I'm so glad I found a comfortable place and people I trust. I have also been doing accupuncture in this office and it has changed my life. Feeling a lot better . Thank you!

I went to Be Well for the first time this week seeking chiropractic care for my chronic back and muscle pain, and I can say with confidence that I have never felt so heard and cared for by a healthcare professional. Dr. Pelley is a true professional and a master of her craft, and she was able to provide me more relief than any of the other treatments I have ever received. In addition, Dr. Pelley made me aware that I have all of the diagnostic criteria for EDS, which provided me with so much clarity about why my body works the way it does. I could not recommend Be Well more, I plan to receive acupuncture from them and continue chiropractic treatments at Be Well for as long as I can.

I am LOVING the hyperbaric chamber. It's so peaceful. As a former, long time smoker, this has done miracles for my breathing. I can take full, deep breaths now. Best feeling ever. Thank you!

If you need relief from pain, vertigo, dizziness, visit Be Well. When you need help untangling the layers- go to Be Well. When I began working with Dessa I felt overwhelmed by acute and chronic pain from a variety of long term to short term injuries, car accidents, multiple concussions, and a TBI. She was the first person who read my body, and heard what needed to be supported in order to bring balance back to it. Through gentle subtle non-invasive and specific manipulation Dessa‘s hands and tools followed the rhythms and the conversations of my body. When healing from chronic pain it can be difficult to find modalities that don’t further exacerbate or over treat the nervous system. Through her treatments Dessa helped the body to find this balance within itself. I felt I was given a foundation in myself emotionally and physically in which to rest in relief from pain. Her work with acute pain softens its impact on the nervous system- and even relieves both body and soul over time. Past trauma has made me feel unsafe in medical settings or when being touched. Dessa is gentle and kind in her approach. And her dialogue with my pain emotionally and physically is very tender. She cultivates an environment of safety further helping her healing to integrate. I also need a quiet treatment area, and such an environment is created for me, making it a safe space for people with sensory concerns. She can also help direct one to manage their health needs. Through conversation from the voice as well as the body, her experience and perspective help her create a template for best modalities and adapts them over time to respond to changing needs during the healing process. She gets to the root and helped me build up foundational support through personalized supplement formulas for helping the heart, mind, or physical being. I recommend Dessa not just as an acupuncturist, but as a healer- she has earned that title in my life. If you are suffering, I hope the same for you. Supporting you through the journey of healing, and bringing your life and body back in balance, Dessa is worth the visit. Dessa cultivates a healing space too. If you don’t see her or want to add another dimension, another wonderful provider can aide in your journey. Crystal has done wonders calming my body from physical and emotional pain, as well as brining my being back into balance. Good luck on your healing journey, I hope you find your way back to you.

Dessa's work and her oxygen treatment have truly changed my life. I came to Dessa two years into my head injury after having done lots of Chinese acupuncture, functional neurology with a renowned doctor, medication, chiropractic, massage, etc. Dessa was one of the first people who understood my experience having a traumatic brain injury from a medical perspective, nervous system embodiment, and personal experience. She understands the nuance of how much to do and not do in terms of treatment and activity. She has most ALWAYS been right. That's compared to SO many medical providers who have given not only unhelpful information, but have significantly harmed me with their recommendations and treatments. Her treatment is incredibly gentle. She doesn't use needles, and she consistently checks in with the body. I didn't have to be the one running the show. I could trust her. I feel like she understands things about my body that I haven't found words yet to express. She has helped me HEAL. She not only has helped me with her treatment, but she often acts as a case manager - finding amazing providers in our area, And even researching who takes Medicaid and which specific plans. Her work is miraculous - I really can't say enough about it. Between her treatment and the other providers she’s referred me to, my life is worth living again. I spent over six months in bed 20 to 23.5 hours a day. I experienced severe symptoms that did not let up even with the use of heavy medications. With treatments from Dessa as the baseline to my healing and then her referral to another great provider, I was able to be up and moving almost all of the day.

At Be Well Acupuncture and Holistic Health, I’ve had treatments from both Dessa Bingley (acupuncture, moxa) and Crystal Sheldon (shiatsu), and I always leave feeling peaceful and restored. For general tension, stress, and pain relief, as well as for specific complaints, they do great work. My last treatment, full-body shiatsu with Crystal, was brilliant. She listened. She identified some long-standing problem points and gently released them. My joints feel good and noticeably freer. Thank you!

As someone who has a life long fear of needles, I never would have considered getting acupuncture. However, when my back and shoulder pain were too much to handle, I decided to try it out. The acupuncturists at Be Well (I've seen a couple of them now!) are so caring and so gentle. They really take the time to explain all of their methods to you, and have needle-less tools that they can use! I felt so much more safe and comfortable than I expected to. Kate even showed me the acupuncture needles and how they work, and it was nothing like I expected. I still haven't tried them, but I feel like I could feasibly consider trying it in the future! The rooms are all calming and comfortable. The treatments are soothing and gentle; with Kate, it almost felt like a guided meditation at times (which I love!). I immediately noticed an increased range of motion in places where it had been stiff or painful to move (neck, shoulders, and back). Even when I wasn't in a lot of pain to begin with, I noticed that everything felt better after a session. I also had a Shiatsu massage with Crystal. I'm not usually one for massages, either, as I'm very sensitive and pressure tends to hurt for me. Crystal also took the time to listen, and made sure to not do anything that was too intense or painful. It really helped me to feel better and I so appreciated her gentle care. I would absolutely return for another massage like this in the future. Both acupuncture and massage treatments at Be Well are so restorative and lovely. Everyone is respectful and genuinely wants to support you with whatever you are going through. I am so grateful to have found a place where I feel heard, held, and cared for. I will continue to see them on my journey to wellness, and I would recommend Be Well to anyone. They take a lot of insurances and are really committed to making it accessible to everyone.
Pain relief without medication

I found Dessa at the Portland Intuitive Fair and am so glad I did. I am now a patient of hers at her office. I have had pain and nausea for around 16 years and doctors have never been able to really diagnose what the trouble was except to give me pain pills. Dessa has a wonderful gift with her hands and being able to diagnose and treat the root of problems with your meridians which I find very soothing and life altering. I feel that she has been able to get to the root of my pain and is treating my entire body for complete wellness. I highly recommend Dessa for anyone who is looking to treat the root cause of your problem without covering it up with medications.

Thank you for your delicate touch.

Thank you Crystal for your delicate touch. You shore up my highways and by ways. Your Forest Faerie Energy unwinds my spine, trading imbalance for equanimity. Your fine tuning is also a perfect dovetail with Dessa’s work.
I feel good fortune has smiled upon me in finding Be Well.

The hands-down best

I am a practitioner myself and have received treatment from over 50 different health professionals over my life, and have found Dessa Bingley to be the hands-down best. Her overall expertise and training has facilitated changes in my body's functioning that no one else could, and because of her commitment to providing affordable and superior care to low-income people, I have been able to heal while not paying exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses.

A number of improvements

I'm in the 3rd week of attending 5 days per week for Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (HBOT) sessions. I've had a number of improvements and more to go! So far, my breathing capacity has improved, I've experienced a little bit of new feelings of alertness in my brain. I did have a significant improvement after receiving a Acupuncture treatment from Doug, who is a Neurology Acupuncturist. Other benefits are an improvement in my mood, feeling much calmer and not easily triggered in stressful situations, and my blood pressure, which was high over the past year, has come way down. It's at the lowest range of normal, possible. That's huge!

This past session, I arrived and Rebekah, who works in the HBOT center is always attentive and informative about this type of treatment. This time, she had my HBOT chamber all set up for me before I even arrived. So, thankful for the kind service.

Remaking me in the most harmonious way

Thank you Dessa for this Cosmic Renovation. You are remaking me in the most harmonious way.

So•tai is the modality, and you are the Conductor. You interface with my blueprint and wrest me from my torque. I have had decades of acupuncture and physical therapy to help my serpentine spine.

None have begun to approach the profound healing I receive during my time with you. I feel taller, lighter, unlocked  and able to flow. You are the Queen Mender•*
