Kastania Rasmussen
(she/her)
holistic nutritionist
Kastania Rasmussen, MScN (She/Her) is a somatic nutritionist with a masters degree in holistic clinical nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Kastania identifies as a queer cis-woman of Danish descent who respectfully honors practicing somatic nutrition as a white settler on colonized land belonging to Indigenous communities and First Nations people.
Kastania specializes in food relationship, nervous system support, eating disorders and disordered eating and the somatic-emotional aspect of nutrition and nourishment. She receives ongoing continuing education from ERED (the Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders Institute), has training in IFS (Internal Family Systems), has completed training in Somatic Intuitive Healing (a somatic therapy approach), holds a Chiropractic Assistant Certification for manual body work at Be Well and will complete her training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in 2026.
Kastania approaches the therapeutic relationship from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, gender-affirming and health-at-every-size perspective in order to co-create a space where it is safe to explore and engage with what is calling for attention around food, nutrition, nourishment, and eating.
It is said that “the body is the voice of the unconscious mind.” Kastania believes that to be skillfully supported in learning your body’s unique language around food is to walk away empowered, self-attuned, more deeply connected to one’s needs, and the doors to transformation open. Her heart and skill in offering somatic nutrition is additionally informed by the lifelong personal exploration of her own healing process with food and eating disorders.
Kastania has been a yoga instructor for 15 years, a lifelong dancer, a personal chef and nutritional consultant, a chocolatier, and a somatic therapist. When she is not in the kitchen with a project, she is singing and playing guitar, cuddling her cat, getting out into the beautiful PNW for hiking and adventures, and spending quality time with loved ones.
