Dr. Kristy Arneson
(she/her)
doctor of chiropractic
Dr. Kristy Arneson, DC (ND/LAC pending licensure) developed an interest in holistic healthcare following a sports-related injury that introduced her to the power of hands-on therapies. Through her own healing journey, she recognized the importance of chiropractic care and massage therapy, as well as how deeply interconnected the body’s systems truly are.
Kristy began her career in healthcare by attending massage school, graduating in 2012 with a focus on sports massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. This foundation shaped her approach to care, emphasizing how muscular imbalances can influence joint function—and vice versa. She treats the body with a comprehensive understanding that pain often originates beyond the site of symptoms.
Driven to expand her clinical expertise, Kristy went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in 2019. She continued her integrative education at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, graduating in 2024 with a degree in acupuncture (pending licensure). She is currently pursuing her naturopathic medical degree at the National University of Natural Medicine, with an anticipated licensure in 2028.
Kristy’s approach to care is rooted in treating the whole person, not just isolated conditions. She believes that true healing comes from addressing underlying causes and supporting the body’s innate ability to restore balance and function.
Kristy has a particular clinical interest in working with patients experiencing:
- chronic pain
- complex autoimmune conditions.
She recognizes that these cases often involve layered patterns of nervous system dysregulation, inflammation, immune imbalance, and long-standing compensations rather than a single isolated cause.
Her approach emphasizes thoughtful pacing, nervous system safety, and individualized care, especially for patients with complex or fluctuating presentations.
Kristy is accepting new clients with Oregon Health Plan in both SE Portland and Salem.
