Chris Doud, LCSW (they/he) is a trauma-informed psychotherapy associate. They use a psycho-dynamic, social-justice-minded, and person-centered approach. Chris is dedicated to cultural humility and responsiveness. They are skilled in coordinated care (including for gender-affirming care), case management, and trauma-informed psychotherapy. Chris has worked providing mental health therapy to clients since 2019 and has worked in the field of social services since 2015.
Chris’s client-centered therapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR, including dyadic resourcing).
Chris welcomes people with a wide range of identities, and focuses on serving trans and nonbinary (TGNB) people seeking support with:
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), dissociation, and stress-related conditions
- Religious trauma
- Bipolar, depression, and other mood disorders
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Unusual perceptions (psychosis, etc.)
- Gender-affirming care and/or referrals
- Existential issues, such as complicated grief or adjusting to life changes
Chris honors each person as an expert in their own lives and aims to be a trustworthy steward on their journey. They currently offer telehealth (online video) appointments for both private pay and Oregon Health Plan patients.
