Amber Wilson
(she/her)
clinical social work associate
Teamworks provider
Amber identifies as a queer, Black-biracial woman of color who works from a lens of minority within minorities. As a liberation focused, Womanist therapist; she centers healing, curiosity, understanding self, and compassionate acceptance and is committed to help you find what this means in your life.
She believes in the importance of recognizing the profound impact of societal conditioning and the effects that oppressive systems and imposed beliefs have had in our daily lives and relationships.
Soul wounds can heal.
With experience in supporting individuals in both group and 1-1 settings, Amber’s focus in every session will be for you to feel held in kindness… to quiet the bully brain, and nurture old aches into new understandings by finding relief from the pain and stress of grief, anxiety, depression, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, chronic illness, systemic oppression, etc.
Amber earned a BSW in 2020 from Portland State and went on to gain an MSW in 2023 from Fordham University. She values the holistic place that social workers practice from. She also has experience in a local rehab providing 1-1 and group talk therapy sessions with individuals actively in recovery.
Amber is accepting new clients with Oregon Health Plan for therapeutic counseling.
